About us

This website is sponsored by The American Brain Council, comprised of doctors, researchers, professors, and practitioners with a vested interest in brain health, and a willingness to share much of what they have learned with others in need at no or little cost.

This website is a group project with contributions from council members, past students, and others hired to find and gather the best info available on brain health, memory, mood and dementia prevention.

Costs for setting up and maintaining this site were paid by the generous donations from council members and friends, and users like you.

Some organizations ask for donations but provide relatively little in terms of practical, helpful information in return. We try to provide or link you to the best insights anywhere, and if we succeed, if you find this information to be helpful for you, then we invite your contributions. But only if you find this helpful. And without feeling any obligation to donate if you can not now afford it.

This site is maintained primarily by Dave Larsen, MFHD, Director of Education for the council.

For questions, suggestions or comments, or to make a donation or contribution you are invited to contact us through him at:

There are a lot of conflicting opinions in this field but one thing all researchers are agreed on is the sooner individuals begin learning and taking steps to improve their brain health the easier and less expensive it will be.
